XRISOSTOMOS KARAMANIDIS
Graduate of the Faculty of Sports and Recreation of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a specialization in Skiing.
Holder of a Category A Skiing Coach License from the Hellenic Ski Federation.
Certified instructor in the UPS Teaching System & certified Austrian Ski Instructor (Landes 1) from the Snowsports Academy, Vienna Ski and Snowboard Instructor Association.
He is a certified Sea Skiing Coach from the German School DWWV & holder of a Category C Sea Skiing Coach License from the Hellenic Ski Federation.
Alpine and Sea Skiing athlete, member of the national team of the respective federations, with Panhellenic victories and participation in international competitions in both sports.
During his sports career in Alpine skiing, 1993 – 2013 he has been 5 times Greek champion in the Slalom and Giant Slalom events, he has successfully participated in World Championships: (WSCH 2011 Garmisch-Partenkirchen GERMANY, JWSCH 2009 Garmisch Partenkirchen GERMANY) in World University Championships: (universiade 2011 Erzurum/Konakly TURKEY) and in European Championships: (EYOF 2007 Jaca SPAIN), while he was a member of the International Olympic List F.I.S OLYMPICS for the claim of participation in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games. He has competed in over 130 international competitions (FIS) during 2006-2014.
He began his coaching career in the period 2013 – 2014, he was Head Coach of the Kastoria Ski School, where he achieved coaching successes with his athletes being in the top positions of the Championship.
Since 2014, he has been part of the Snowport coaching team as a key member of the Racing Department, while at the same time he is the ski service-man of the school's racing teams.
