ANDREAS SARANTIS

Biography:
Executive of a multinational company.

He served as the director of contractual deliveries of projects for electronic equipment for the European Union for 5 years.

He was born in 1983 in Arachova and started skiing at the age of 4. During his sports career in biathlon from 1989 - 2006, he has been a 13-time Greek champion as well as having distinctions in international meetings.

He has successfully participated in 3 World Championships for children (Val di Fiemme) and 2 for teenagers (Haute Maurienne France and Ridnaum Italy) where he was the flag bearer at the opening ceremonies.

He was also one of the athletes who represented us at the highest level of the world men's ranking with 35 participations in world cups and world championships for men, the IBU world federation, with his first participation at the age of just 16. While in 2003 he won the ticket for his participation in the Winter Olympics in Torino.
While serving in the Paratroopers' Special Forces he served as an armed forces coach in 2002-2003 at the Panhellenic Armed Ski Championship in Serres and represented us at the World Armed Forces Championship in 2003 in Finland.

He has also achieved 52nd place in European Championships and 57th in World Junior Championships and 23rd in EYOF Youth Olympic Games (in 1999 Slovakia and 2001 vokaty Finland). Where he was also a flag bearer.

He started his coaching career while he was a world-class athlete in 2001 as a ski instructor.

Since 2020 he is part of the Snowport coaching team.
